Why come to Belfast Wellness Centre for great results?

At Belfast Wellness Centre we understand that great results are not just about what the scale says we weigh, it’s about how we look, our body shape and how healthy we are that really counts. Most people want to have a better body shape and if you gave them a perfect body that they would be happy with on the beach, would they care how much it weighed?

We measure results by a bodyscan where we measure how much fat you have and how much muscle you have and those are the results you will get with us because those are the only measurements which will help you to improve your body shape.

Toning and shaping success is acheived 80% by diet and 20% by exercise. We will give nutrition advice to help you get the results that you are looking for and it is important to get the diet right or it won’t matter how much exercise you do, you can never out exercise a bad diet.

Exercise is very important and even though it is only 20% of the equation it is an extremely important 20%, as it increases your calorie burn, fat burn and speeds up your metabolism. Exercise is also so important for overall good health, keeping the heart healthy, the bones strong and making us feel good.

It is important to get aerobic exercise and weight bearing exercise at least 3 times per week. For most people this can take up to 1.5 hours at the gym and so most people struggle to do it all regularly.

The more we learn about exercise the more it points to high intensity short bursts of exercise being most effective, add in the weights to these high intensity bursts and you have the perfect exercise which covers both weights and aerobic and you can do it all in 30 minutes. This is why we have chosen kettlebells as the exercise that we promote as it is most effective in the least amount of time.

During this type of exercise you will be using your muscles, many for the first time! Your body works over 400 different muscles so these muscles need to be able to repair and recover after exercise as soon as possible. If your goal is toning and shaping then it is important to have a recovery smoothie of a particular type which will enhance the repair of the muscle but also maximise fat burn too – (this can be a tricky combination to achieve and so the recovery smoothie that we serve is designed to allow both to happen effectively).

When you come to Belfast Wellness Centre, your first kettlebell class is free of charge. You will then book a wellness profile which is free of charge and will include a bodyscan which gives you a measurement of how much fat you have and how much muscle you have and a number of other important things. Your bodyfat percentage and muscle mass are the most important readings related to your success in toning and shaping. We will give you advice on the things that will affect your success the most and help you to get the best from both diet and exercise. When you get these both right together the results are amazing :-)

80% success comes from a good diet and so when you get this right with exercise you will be blown away with your results. Most people think they know what they need to do to lose weight however everyone says the problem is doing it. If you had a plan that deals with hunger and cravings then there is no problem doing it, but most people don’t know how to do that :-( Once you have completed your profile you will know exactly what you need to do to get the results that you want without the pain of hunger and cravings :-)

We will carry out a bodyscan for all our kettlebell clients once every month so that you can track your progress properly.
